Last month, a 20-year-old student from central Russia has been sentenced to five years in prison by Russian authorities for alleged collaboration with Ukrainian special services and plotting sabotage attacks on military installations. The FSB branch in Kurgan, central Russia, stated that the individual had been apprehended earlier on suspicion of cooperating with a foreign nation.

According to a statement released to Russian media outlets, the defendant had purportedly intended to carry out sabotage activities targeting military and public infrastructure. The FSB further alleged that the student, whose identity remains undisclosed, had planned to disseminate pro-Ukrainian propaganda online and provide information about troop movements and law enforcement operations in the region.
