BusinessPhilippines to Host 2026 ASEAN Tourism Forum in Cebu

The Philippines has been selected to host the 45th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in Mactan, Cebu, scheduled to take place from Jan. 27 to Feb. 4, 2026. According to the event organizers, the forum’s stated mission is to promote the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as a single, unified tourism destination.

The annual event is expected to convene tourism ministers, senior officials from national tourism organizations, and industry stakeholders from the 10 ASEAN member states. International buyers, exhibitors, and media representatives are also scheduled to attend the week-long forum.

A central component of the ATF is the ASEAN Tourism Forum Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), a three-day trade exhibition running from Jan. 28-30. TRAVEX is designed to facilitate business interactions between tourism product suppliers from ASEAN countries and international buyers. The organizers have appointed TTG Asia Media as the official secretariat to manage the exhibition.

The program for TRAVEX includes pre-scheduled one-on-one business appointments, with up to 32 slots available for each participating exhibitor and buyer. In addition to networking sessions, delegates will have the option to join a selection of pre- and post-show tours to various destinations within the Philippines.

The forum will also feature the ASEAN Tourism Conference, which provides a platform for discussions on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities within the regional tourism sector. The official schedule includes an opening ceremony, a welcome reception and dinner, and a closing ceremony for all registered attendees.

The ASEAN Tourism Forum is a cooperative regional effort to promote the ASEAN region as one tourist destination. The event is hosted on a rotating basis among the member countries, which include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
