WorldIsraeli Military Actions Kill 9 Palestinians in Gaza, 2 Children

Health officials in the Gaza Strip reported that nine Palestinians, including two children, were killed on Wednesday in separate Israeli military actions across the territory. The incidents, which involved air strikes and gunfire, occurred in Gaza City and the southern area of Khan Younis, according to medical sources cited by news agencies.

One of the events took place in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, designated as a humanitarian zone. Medics on the scene reported that a strike hit a tent sheltering displaced individuals, resulting in the deaths of at least four people. A 10-year-old child was among those killed in the strike, medical personnel confirmed.

In Gaza City, Palestinian health officials stated that a six-year-old boy was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun neighborhood. Separately, medics reported that an Israeli air strike near a school in Gaza City killed one person. Two other attacks in different parts of the city resulted in the deaths of three more people and left several others wounded, according to reports from medical staff.

These events occurred amid the ongoing conflict in the region. According to figures released by the Gaza health ministry, 1,084 Palestinians have been killed since a ceasefire agreement was announced in October. The terms of the agreement and progress toward a permanent end to hostilities remain subjects of international discussion.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) did not immediately release a statement regarding the specific operations on Wednesday. The reasons for the strikes were not publicly provided by the Israeli military at the time of reporting.
