The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) announced it collected US$4.71 billion in net revenue during the first six months of 2026. According to its half-year revenue performance report, this figure surpassed the agency’s target for the period by 16.14%.
The total collection represents a 46.73% increase in revenue compared to the amount recorded during the same period in 2025. The data provided by Zimra offers a direct comparison of the authority’s performance between the two consecutive years, indicating growth in collections measured in United States dollars.
The authority also reported its revenue figures in the local currency, the Zimbabwean dollar (ZWG). Net collections totaled ZWG125.06 billion for the period ending June 30, 2026. This amount exceeded the established target of ZWG104.99 billion. The performance in the local currency resulted in a 19.12% surplus over the projected revenue goal.
These statistics were detailed in Zimra’s official half-year report. The document attributes the overall revenue to several income streams, identifying four as the primary contributors to the total amount collected. The report provides a quantitative assessment of the state’s revenue intake without offering analysis on the economic factors influencing the figures.
Zimra is the government agency tasked with assessing, collecting, and accounting for revenue on behalf of the state of Zimbabwe.
