Newly promoted Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Hardrock FC will travel to Botswana to conduct a two-week training camp from Feb. 9 to Feb. 23. The trip is part of the team’s preparations for its inaugural season in the country’s top-tier professional football league.
The club confirmed its travel schedule, with the team set to depart on Monday, Feb. 9, and return two weeks later. The camp is intended to provide an focused environment for player conditioning, tactical drills, and building team cohesion ahead of the demanding league season.
Hardrock FC is the third local club to organize its pre-season preparations outside of the country this year, a strategy used by teams to find new training environments and potential opponents for friendly matches.
As a newcomer to the Premier Soccer League, the pre-season is a critical period for the club. It allows the coaching staff time to assess the squad, integrate any new players, and implement the tactical systems they plan to use against established top-flight competition.
The club has not yet released specific details regarding its training locations within Botswana or whether any friendly matches have been scheduled against local teams.
Upon returning on Feb. 23, Hardrock FC is expected to finalize its preparations before the official start of the PSL season. The club earned its spot in the league after a successful campaign in the lower division last year.
