Nike to Raise Prices on Select Products Starting This Week

BusinessNike to Raise Prices on Select Products Starting This Week

Nike will increase prices on several footwear, apparel, and equipment items beginning this week, with full implementation expected by June 1, 2025. According to CNBC, the decision comes as the retail giant navigates a spike in operational costs and international trade tariffs.

A person familiar with the changes said adult apparel and equipment will rise in price by $2 to $10. Footwear priced between $100 and $150 will increase by $5, while shoes priced above $150 will go up by $10. Products under $100 and all children’s items will remain at current prices. The popular Air Force 1 will continue to retail for $115.

While the pricing adjustments do not affect Jordan brand apparel and accessories, Jordan sneakers will be included in the increases.

Nike said it regularly reviews pricing as part of its seasonal business planning. Although the company did not directly attribute the changes to tariffs in its statement, many Nike products are manufactured in China and Vietnam—countries currently impacted by U.S. import duties.

As of May 2025, the United States imposes a 30% tariff on goods from China and a 10% tariff on imports from Vietnam. These measures have raised operating costs across the retail and footwear sectors.

The announced changes reflect Nike’s manufacturer-suggested retail price (MSRP), but it is unclear how third-party retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods or Foot Locker will apply the updates.

Nike has not indicated whether additional pricing changes are planned beyond this round.
